在日常生活中，我们的中文习惯扎根太深，所以很多表达，都会直接翻译，比如一说到'洗'，就是Wash，但在英文中，可不一定正确！马上来看这些日常表达，你都能一次说对吗？！洗衣服≠Wash clothes洗是Wash，洗衣服是Wash clothes吗？才不是呢！用“wash”来表达“洗”，偏向于中式思维。
在英语中，虽然“wash” 的意思是“洗涤，冲洗”，但没有那么具体化，不能确定“在哪洗”或“洗什么”。
洗衣服do the laundry“laundry” 指“洗衣店，洗衣房，要洗的衣物”。
比如《老友记》、《生活大爆炸》等一些美剧中，可以看到剧中人物带着大量的衣物到洗衣店里清洗，这种公用洗衣房就是“laundry”。
